I have been working on changing my ambitious card routine I have used a variety of endings, freedom pack, card to mouth, wallet etc and I was wondering if anyone had any novel ideas, that are different.

How many times do you rise you card in your ACR.

I like the card to end up back with the spec. Either in their pocket, under there glass etc. If they have signed the card it seems right for the card to end up back with them to take away/keep
I tend to vary the ending to suit the audience. I decide what to do as I am working through the effect. This works well when doing walk about it means that I can change the ending each time I perform it. Then if someone happens to see it twice they are in for a surprise.
I have been doing this for about 12 years, have been a magician for over 20 years, but I end my ambitious by telling the spectator that maybe if we tie up the deck we can keep the selected, signed card in the middle (see my ambitious works around the theme that the card has a mind of its own and wont stay in the middle of the deck), i then wrap a rubber band around the deck and go right into "Card on Ceiling", now that is an ambitious card! Also uou can try the best book EVER writtien on ambitious card moves, by Darwin Ortiz, if you dont know who he is and you are doing ambitious card routine "shame on you", look him up
