Corindas 13 Steps is the best book for learning Mentalism. You can get it from the Magic World Shop. As for Hypnosis, you have a subject that everyone has their own views on. I would recomend hypnosis without trance. It is a website with a lot of free tuiton in both txt and video. Anthony Jaques has some excellent material in both book and video. I could continue listing items, but I think these are a good starting point.

There is one person whho sells a lot of items on Ebay, personally I woould stay clear of these products and use items by performers who have a good reputation and are recognised by their peers as both skilled an ethical.
