Yes Allan, I'm sure it's fine.
If it was other illusions like the A-Frame or such, but as the Sub Trunk is such an old illusion.. performed by millions i'm sure it's not a problem.

I try to avoid mentalism routines when doing the pendulum stuff as I feel that it can give the wrong impression, likewise i also avoid anything that looks like a magicians prop!!
You are certainly right about magic and performing in general as a confidence booster but I suspect that is because it is well rehearsed and it makes us feel that we are in control. Good luck with your magic. Regards David
